The first time I thought about the need to obtain a personal passport was when my friend’s Webmoney was blocked due to the fact that he had exceeded the established limit on financial operations for a formal certificate. After a while, Sergei, the author of the blog upgoing.ru, had the same unpleasant surprise (read what webmoney blocking entails). Here you can familiarize yourself with all transaction limits for all types of certificates. Personally, I didn't really want my WMID to be blocked one day because I accidentally exceeded the daily limit :).

Another advantage of a personal passport is that it can be used to obtain a merchant’s passport, which will allow you to automate the receipt of funds on your blog (website) using the Merchant Webmoney Transfer service. In general, if you plan to continue to engage in online business, then you simply must purchase personal certificate, since it provides a lot of opportunities to its owner (read about all the privileges).

Well, now I will tell you about how I received a personal certificate in Ukraine.

1. You won’t believe it, but the hardest thing for me in obtaining a personal certificate was... overcoming my laziness: you need to get off your computer, find a notary, go through the moments with all this paperwork... In general, you have to overcome yourself and firmly decide that you need a personal certificate!

2. I checked the correctness of the entered data in the WebMoney form (read above!). It turned out that I accidentally made a mistake when I was filling out a formal certificate for myself 2 years ago, fortunately I corrected it in time.

5. After this, a page with lists of attesters opened. If you find a person from your own or a neighboring city on this list, then you are very lucky: you can meet this certifier in person and give him necessary documents. Since I live in Ukraine, the letter should be sent not to Moscow, but to Kyiv (that’s what the WebMoney administration told me). The application for the certificate cost me 35WMZ. You must pay for the certificate before sending the documents!

6. Go to this section and download the certificate applicant’s application Webmoney systems Transfer (citizens of Ukraine need to download the document in Ukrainian!). I advise you to download the application without the barcode, since the notary will still cut it out of the document:

At home, I just filled out the line in which I needed to enter my WMID, and at the notary I filled out the remaining fields (although, as it turned out later, I could safely fill out all the fields except the date and signature).

7. I took this statement to a notary and verified the signature underneath(please note that you should not say “certify my statement”, but “certify my signature on the application”!). The notary will transfer it to his special form and ask you to sign it. Under no circumstances should your WMID number be cut out from the form! Notary services will cost you 130-150 UAH (about 20WMZ)

The most important - do not forget to take his business card from the notary or simply write down his full name and phone number on a blank piece of paper.

8. Made photocopies of all significant pages of the passport and a copy of the TIN. These copies must be life-size. These copies do not need to be notarized

All! Hooray! Are you registered. Now you can open your wallet. Select in what currency you need a wallet (in the example I chose rubles), read the agreement, accept the terms and click “Create”.

After registration, a pseudonym certificate is automatically assigned free of charge.

In the upper left corner you will see a notification that your wallet has been successfully opened. The number itself is located next to the tricolor icon. At this stage, you can already perform operations permitted by the alias passport.

Registration of a formal certificate

The next step after the pseudonym is a formal certificate. To get it you need:

You will be redirected to a page with personal information. The first block of full name and date of birth just needs to be checked; if the date is incorrect, it can be corrected, just like gender. You can also choose what will be displayed on the page for other users and what not.

Then you need to set your country by clicking on this button.

A form will open for you to select your region and city. You can find it manually or through a search, and then press “Enter”. Select your city, as indicated in the screenshot, first in the search, then below in the “City” field and only then click “OK”.

You will then be redirected to a page to enter additional data: TIN, SNILS and passport issuing unit code. After filling them out, you need to click “Next”.

Within 10 minutes your status will be updated.

On your page you can see the presence of a formal certificate. The system also notifies you that you need to provide a scan of your passport for verification. Select the file containing the passport pages and click “Continue”.

At this point, the procedure for obtaining a formal certificate can be considered complete.

Registration of the initial certificate

There are two ways to obtain an initial certificate:

1. P at a personal meeting with an attestator.

2. No meeting, but subject to the following conditions:

— when replenishing your wallet through the Unistream, Contact or Anelik system by money transfer within the Russian Federation on the website

— when replenishing your wallet from a bank account on the website banking.guarantee.ru

- when attached bank card partner banks (Alfa-Bank, PromSvyazBank, Ocean-Bank, etc.) on the website banks.webmoney.ru

Registration of a personal certificate

Next, you will need to confirm your mailing address. To do this, fill out a form on the website indicating the address.
