Fly 4415 quad era style 3. Mobile device batteries differ from each other in their capacity and technology

What I didn't like

For most applications, it throws it onto the desktop. I don’t know why, but on a weak smartphone, those applications that work on it simply throw it onto the desktop. It seems to be a strong smartphone, but when it comes to applications and games, it doesn’t reach 5, but a solid 2. According to the description of the device phone, it is stronger and more powerful than Galaxy 3,4,4 mini but this is just a description. Not everyone has Android 4.4 KitKat, but this one has it, but it’s of no use. As far as I know, Android 4.4 KitKat was supposed to fly. I’m disappointed in this smartphone with Android 4.4 KitKat

What I liked

Beautiful and convenient design and that's it

What I didn't like

Overheats greatly, connects to wi-fi only once, the camera is terrible

What I liked

Good price, pretty fast.

What I didn't like

Instability, "compression".

What I liked

High-quality idea, reasonable price, cool display for this price category.

What I didn't like

There is no antivirus, no Word, no Excel or PDF reader. No notes. There's not even a flashlight. But there are taxis, a couple of banks and a lot of games. Cool. The user's interests are very one-sided. What for to study - we withdraw money, go by taxi and play.
It's amazing how long it takes to charge.
The charge indicator is lying. It may suddenly drop %30 in seconds and turn off.
The headset is in the trash. Prehistoric headphones. Horror!
You can set only standard melodies for calls, SMS and alarm clocks. Although there are many of them, my favorite “Old ring” was not there.

What I liked

Nice back cover. It bends well. What prevented you from raising the sides with mounds above the screen, so that in case of a fall the blow would not fall on the glass? By the way, the screen is covered with a protective film. What the hell? It just bothers me. The mobile operating system runs smoothly. The call quality is surprisingly good. Wide range of screen brightness settings. And the viewing angles of the screen are okay. The camera is quite passable. Focuses, calls for help with a flash when needed.

What I didn't like

I didn’t have time to look at the shortcomings

What I liked

price, size

What I didn't like

RAM, flash is rather weak.
It often heats up on its own.
Medium volume speaker...

What I liked

I got it for free...the small ones fit...pluses: a clear, bright screen...camera with original focus...so you won’t regret taking it as normal...I dropped it in the water and it lay there for about two minutes...I took it out and wiped it with a towel.. .works perfect

What I liked

Nice design, good camera.

What I didn't like

To be honest, this is already old. If you don’t care what you use, you can safely take it. It works stably and without glitches. Loud bell and speaker, good reception. But if you held a good device in your hands, this dinosaur causes nothing but irritation

What I liked

Works stably.

What I didn't like

Heats up when talking, glitches in the cold

What I liked

Design, light transmission, camera.

What I didn't like

Micro sim; 512 MB of RAM; screen; enough unnecessary software

What I liked

Android 4.4, of course, is not 5.0, but still; price; design; dimensions; 2 SIM cards; CPU; camera

Nowadays, you can find a considerable number of worthy models on the smartphone market. Probably the most fierce competition between different manufacturers takes place in the budget segment. Who's not there! The Russians, Chinese, Koreans, and British fought in a long battle. By the way, today we will talk about the apparatus of the latter. So, meet the smartphone called 4415 “Fly”!

Technical indicators

"Fly 4415", the characteristics of which we will present below, also belongs to the budget segment of the smartphone market. What can this modest device, sold in mobile phone stores for 4,500 Russian rubles, offer us? Small in size, processor with four cores clocked at 1.3 GHz, 5-megapixel main camera. However, the device is based on an interesting design with bright colors. Here is the distinctive side of the device. Did the British manage to play this card? Let's try to figure this out.

Contents of delivery

The 4415 Fly package includes the following items. In the box you can find the smartphone itself, a 3.5 mm wired headset, a short instruction manual, a warranty card, a MicroUSB cable, and a charger. As we can see, the scope of delivery is almost minimal. If there weren't a wired headset here, this would be the case. Although such a budget model probably doesn’t really need any additions.

Exterior

The Fly phone has the following dimensions. Its height is 131 millimeters, width and thickness, respectively, 65.9 and 8.3 millimeters. With such indicators, the weight of the device does not exceed 124 grams. If we talk about the build quality, then there are complaints, although not very serious. Nevertheless, play is quite easy to detect when driving. The question of the strength of the structure remains open. The back panel is made of matte plastic. It has medium thickness.

Ergonomics

This is exactly what the 4415 Fly device can boast of. Its body is quite thin (only 8.3 millimeters). Probably, such an indicator can still be called a feature rather than commonplace. By the way, the device is released on the smartphone market in three color options. The first is blue, the second is white, the third is black. The user may ask: where is the promised interesting appearance? The point here is that although there are not many color combinations, the shades are really pleasing to the eye. Take the same blue device. This phone 4415 "Fly" has a black front made of strong glossy plastic. And the back panel is already blue, made of matte plastic, finished in a metallic shade. It shimmers in sunlight.

This move by the manufacturer creates interest among users who like this model. The back panel of the device is something like an incomplete edge for the front. Therefore, it seems that the rest of the device is recessed into the lid. Something similar can be found in the Lumiya design. In terms of design, the phone can easily claim a plus sign thanks to its unique design solution.

Front part

Here you may encounter not very high-quality protective glass. It gets dirty very quickly. At the top we will find the front camera peephole. It is rated at 0.3 megapixels. There is also a speaker here. At the bottom you can find touch controls. These are the “Windows”, “Go to Desktop” and “Back” buttons in sequence from left to right.

Other elements

At the back there is a peephole for the main camera. It has 5 million pixels. There is also an LED flash, as well as a sound speaker. It is worth paying attention to the fact that the camera eye protrudes from the plane of the body. Just one millimeter, but it’s still worth taking care that nothing happens to it. At the top end you can find two entrances at once. This is a 3.5 mm wired headset jack and a MicroUSB connector. On the left side there is a paired key designed to change the sound mode or volume. On the opposite side there is a button that allows you to block the Fly phone. The buttons are strong, the play is minimal. This is where we can say “thank you” to the British manufacturer.

Display

The 4415 Fly has a diagonal of 4.5 inches. The matrix is made using IPS technology. The resolution is lame, of course, only 854 by 480 pixels. Not so much. The picture is displayed on the screen in FWVGA quality. However, there are also positive aspects. In addition to IPS, OGS technology was used. This means that there will be no air gap between the sensor and the display. Due to this, the thickness of the display was minimized. Which ultimately affected the responsiveness of the screen. There is no particularly strong division of the image into individual pixels, so inexperienced users can put up with such insufficient resolution. But film fans will have a much more difficult time. Other positive qualities include bright and saturated colors, since color rendering here is at a fairly high level. The transmission angles are also quite good. Perhaps this is all I would like to say about the display of the Fly 4415 phone, reviews of which we will provide at the end of the article.

Operating system and software

It would be very useful here to mention that there is a custom firmware "Fly 4415". It will help optimize the operation of the device. Let's move on. The smartphone runs on the Android operating system, version 4.4.2. There is no shell from the manufacturer, so the user interface is, as they say, “default”, without any frills. The top “curtain” will provide quick access to recent actions and basic settings, and will also show the status of the smartphone.

The keyboard is also factory, without add-ons. You can change this using the appropriate applications, finding them in the Play Market service. By the way, since we are talking about programs, we note the presence of built-in services from Google. There are two browsers already preinstalled. One is from Google, the other is standard. The latter, of course, is inferior both in terms of interface and speed. And switching between existing tabs is not very convenient. There’s not much to say about system settings; there are the following sections: “Accounts”, “Wireless Networks”, “Personal Data”, “System” and “Device”.

Photographic Opportunities

As mentioned earlier, the smartphone is equipped with a rear camera with a resolution of 5 megapixels and a front camera with a resolution of 0.3 MP. In addition to the main module, an LED flash, an automatic focusing function on the subject, and digital zoom are included. has a fixed focus. What pleased me was that there is a real spectrum of settings. You can adjust the mode, focus, photo size and quality, and work with the face recognition function.

The rear camera shoots quite well for its 5 megapixels. There is both color saturation and brightness. What came as a surprise was the fact that good photography is ensured not only during the day, but also at night. The situation is much worse with photographs taken with the front camera. It will not provide sufficient quality for selfie shots. Its capabilities are only enough to make video calls to the relevant services.

Autonomous operation

Due to the reduced thickness, the manufacturer had to sacrifice battery capacity. For its segment, it shows a capacity that is 20 percent less than its direct competitors. However, in order to somehow compensate for this shortcoming, the manufacturer decided to install a more efficient and energy-independent processor. So, if you wish, you can squeeze a full working day of use out of your smartphone. The picture quality, which is produced through the insufficient resolution of the screen, comes in very handy here. If it were higher, we would have to abandon the model due to rapid discharge. "Fly 4415", whose battery is designed for 1650 milliamp-hours, cannot boast of exorbitant results. But he copes well with the main tasks assigned to him.

Conclusion and reviews

What do buyers of this device note in their reviews? Firstly, covers for the Fly 4415 are quite difficult to find, and this becomes a problem. Secondly, the device has a weak battery (compensated by low processor consumption). Thirdly, the speaker is made very strangely, there are certain problems with it. Fourthly and fifthly, this is a low resolution and a very small amount of RAM (only 512 megabytes). But that's where the weaknesses end.

And now about the benefits. These include, for example, a thin and light smartphone body. The color solutions are not multifaceted, but very interesting. The display has good color reproduction and more than acceptable viewing angles. There is the possibility of integrating two SIM cards. Well, the composition ends with a berry - the price of the device is 5,000 rubles.

Introduction

We have already become acquainted with the new generation of inexpensive smartphones from Fly, for example, Evo Tech 1. In this review, we will look at Era Life 1 - a more affordable device that differs from Evo Tech 1 in having a screen with a smaller display diagonal, a different camera module, and the absence of an additional book case . Both devices are built on the MediaTek MT6572 platform, with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of Flash memory installed inside.

The Fly IQ447 gadget will be of interest to those who want to get a fast Android smartphone with one of the latest software updates, normal screen resolution and a completely adequate camera for 4,000 - 4,500 rubles.

Design, dimensions, control elements

I won’t talk about the design of the IQ447, since it is quite typical for devices in its price category. The Fly's dimensions are standard, given the 4-inch screen diagonal - 125.3 x 64.5 x 9.9 mm. The weight is also normal - 120 grams. The edging on the front panel is made of semi-gloss black plastic, the thin edging around the perimeter is chrome-plated plastic (there are suspicions that it is metal, since there was a deep dent on the upper end and a texture like brushed aluminum), the back panel is semi-gloss black plastic . Thank you for not being glossy! The side edges are smoothed, the back cover is sloping.

Fingerprints remain on the surface of the device, but are practically invisible. The screen is also easily soiled.

The device is assembled perfectly: there is no play or creaking. Moreover, the back cover is almost tightly held to the body. It does not bend to the battery. The screen is protected by glass, but not Gorilla Glass. After a couple of weeks of active use, very small scratches appeared on it. The rest of the body was not even worn.

Fly IQ447 fits well in the hand thanks to its smooth surface, small size and weight. However, the smoothness of the case plays both a positive and negative role: the gadget is quite slippery, and with wet hands there is a chance of dropping the phone.

The earpiece is located on the top of the front panel. Its volume is slightly above average, the interlocutor can be heard clearly and legibly. Just below is the front camera, light and proximity sensors. Below the screen are large touch buttons “Menu”, “Home”, “Back”. Marked with white translucent paint. There is a backlight, it is bright, but at night it does not blind the eyes. The microphone is located on the bottom left.

On the right edge is the power button. It is recessed into the body, so it is not easy to feel it the first time. The volume rocker key, located on the left edge of the device, is of the same type.

A standard 3.5 mm audio output is on the top end, and micro-USB is also there.

On the back of the device there is a camera eye, slightly raised on the body, a flash and a slot where the speakerphone is hidden.

To open the cover, you must pull it on the notch on the lower right corner. On the left is a slot for a miniSIM card for 2G/3G communications, to the right is only for 2G, and even further to the right is a slot for a microSD memory card. All of them are not hot-swappable.

Display

This model uses a 4-inch diagonal display. Physical size – 52x86 mm, screen resolution – 480x800 pixels, density – 233 pixels per inch. The matrix is not made using IPS technology, so when you tilt the display toward you, the brightness decreases, and when you tilt it toward you, the colors are inverted. In general, a typical situation with inexpensive devices.

The brightness is average, during the day the image is visible normally, but in the sun the picture fades greatly. The sensitivity of the touch layer is good. It handles up to 2 simultaneous touches (“multi-touch”).

Battery

It uses a lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery with a capacity of 1500 mAh, 3.7 V, 5.55 Wh, model BL5204. The manufacturer gives approximate operating time: standby mode – up to 200 hours, talk time – up to 6 hours.

In video playback mode (MP4, 640x480 pixels) at maximum brightness and volume in the headphones, the battery ran out after about 2 hours. If you use 3G, make about 10-15 calls lasting 1-2 minutes, “take pictures” for 20 minutes, then the battery will run out in 5 – 6 hours.

Charging will take approximately 1.5 - 2 hours from the AC adapter and approximately 2.5 from USB.

Communication capabilities

The smartphone operates in 2G (GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 900/1800 MHz) and 3G (900/2100 MHz) cellular networks. One slot is for 2G/3G, the other is only for 2G. They are signed on the case. Available Bluetooth version 3.0 (EDR) for file and voice transfer. There is a wireless connection Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 b/g/n. The device, of course, can be used as an access point (Wi-Fi Hotspot) or modem. In the settings this item is listed as “Modem mode”.

Memory and memory card

This model has 512 MB of RAM. Of this amount of RAM, on average, about 200 MB is free. The Fly IQ454 had 50 MB more.

Built-in memory 4 GB. 1.48 GB is available for data storage, and 1.11 GB for installing applications. There is a slot for a microSDHC memory card up to 32 GB. In the settings there is an item “Installation location”. In it you can select the installation location for programs: “Internal memory” / “Removable SD card”. I advise you to put everything on the line.

Camera

The Fly Era Life 1 smartphone is equipped with two camera modules, despite its low cost. The main module is 5 megapixels, the front one is 0.3 MP. For those who like to shoot with flash or use the gadget as a flashlight, there is a small LED.

The camera takes pictures rather mediocrely, but it has two main advantages: the first is an automatic focusing module, and the second is that focusing is carried out at a distance of 15 mm. The Fly Evo Tech 1 camera takes slightly better photographs, with less noise and artifacts.

The IQ447 records video in HD resolution at 30 frames per second. The sharpness is low, so it seems that the resolution is less than 1280x720 pixels. The sound is mono, but clear. Front camera shoots VGA video at 10 fps.

Video file characteristics:

  • File Format: 3GP
  • Video codec: MPEG-4, 12 Mbit/s
  • Resolution: 1280 x 720, 30 fps
  • Audio codec: AAC, 128 Kbps
  • Channels: 1 channel, 48 kHz

Examples of photos taken with the main camera:

Performance and Software Platform

The Fly Era Life 1 model has exactly the same chipset from MediaTek as the Fly Evo Tech 1 – MT6572. The Cortex-A7 processor is made using 28 nm technology, two cores operate at a clock frequency of 1.2 GHz, and a fairly powerful Mali-400MP is responsible for the graphics.

Everything works relatively smoothly (sometimes there are microlags, what causes them is not clear). Many simple toys go without problems.

brief information:

Performance tests:

The device runs on the Google Android operating system version 4.2.2. The branded shell is missing. At the time of writing this review, there was no new software available.

Multimedia

The device has standard multimedia applications for playing music, radio and video. The volume in the headphones is average, the quality is good. The volume of the ringing speaker is average. If you close the speaker hole, the volume will decrease to 30%, i.e. something will be heard. Videos can be played in resolutions up to 720p inclusive.

Modern smartphones have reached a price level where they have become accessible to a wide mass of consumers. Today, decisions with a price tag of 2000 - 3000 rubles are no longer surprising. Another question is that such smartphones are weak in characteristics, use small diagonal screens and budget chips. This is a forced step in order to reduce costs. Fly IQ4415 Quad ERA Style 3 is a product of a different category, while maintaining an attractive price, we managed to maintain the adequacy of the characteristics.

Sales started at the end of May, and it is now available for 4,990 rubles. This smartphone became the successor to the Fly Spark; the new product received a stylish design and updated hardware.

Fly IQ4415 Quad ERA Style 3 package

The smartphone is delivered in a compact package with a light design. On the edges of the packaging there is a photograph of the smartphone, data on the model name and information on technical characteristics.

The packaging is traditional - charger, micro USB cable, headset, instructions and warranty card.

Appearance

In this price segment you should not expect outstanding design solutions and special materials. But the Fly IQ4415 Quad ERA Style 3 does not look cheap; it is a traditional all-in-one with beveled edges.

However, a solution is used here that I have not seen before, and to be honest, the engineers’ idea is not very clear. It lies in the fact that the front part is smaller in size than the main body of the smartphone (back cover). There is a kind of step at the junction.

The main material is practical soft-touch plastic, it is pleasant to the touch and does not allow the smartphone to slip out of your hands. The black version collects fingerprints over time and does not erase easily.

Speaking of colors, there are several color options available: white, black and blue. White and blue look more interesting and fresh. We tested classic black.

The dimensions of the smartphone are typical for devices with a 4.5-inch display; they are: 65.9x131x8.3 mm with a weight of 124 grams. This model compares favorably with its thin body when compared with similar solutions that we tested earlier.

The main area of the front panel is occupied by the display, in the upper part there is a speaker grille and an additional camera. There are three touch buttons at the bottom. The arrangement of the elements is classic. Volume rocker on the left, power button on the right, audio jack and micro USB port on top.

At the back is the main camera peephole with LED flash, below is the speaker grille. The cover is removable, underneath it hides a non-removable battery, two slots for micro SIM cards and a slot for a micro SD memory card. The body is assembled perfectly, there are no creaks or play of parts.

Screen

A 4.5-inch display is installed, based on an IPS OGS matrix (there is no air gap between the matrix and the glass). The result is wide viewing angles, good color rendition and contrast. The maximum brightness level is high; you can work with the smartphone even in direct sunlight.

The display resolution is 480x854 pixels, fonts look sharp, and there is no pixelation observed during normal use.

Filling

The heart of the Fly IQ4415 Quad ERA Style 3 is the MediaTek MT6582M processor. It is a quad-core processor clocked at 1300 MHz. Mali-400 MP2 is responsible for graphics. This processor is a modification of the MT6582, which has proven itself in the budget segment, and has received updated graphics.

512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of data storage are available. A typical set for this price segment, it cannot be called ideal, but it copes with everyday tasks. The memory can be expanded using a micro SD memory card.

Antutu

Vellamo

3D Antutu

Connection

Using two micro SIM cards, this format is coming slowly but surely to the budget segment. Both connectors support 3G, HSDPA, HSUPA. There were no problems with communication quality during operation.

On board is a set of communication modules – Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0. The available GPS module allows you to use the device as a navigator. A cold start and searching for satellites takes an average of 1.5 minutes.

Battery

The reduced thickness affected the battery capacity; a 1650 mAh battery is used here. This is approximately 15 - 20% less than most models in this segment. The reduced volume is compensated by an energy-efficient processor. The smartphone lasts a long time, one working day with active use. By the way, the lack of HD resolution also contributes.

Camera

The Fly IQ4415 Quad ERA Style 3 has a 5 MP camera paired with an LED flash. The camera application is standard for MediaTek. Settings, effects, panorama mode, video recording and HDR mode are available.

The pictures are of average quality, the camera does not feel very confident in the dark.

Software

Google Android 4.4 operating system installed. An interesting fact: most manufacturers claimed that launching this version on MediaTek solutions was technically difficult. Apparently, this was just an excuse that hid a reluctance to spend resources on developing updated software. In this regard, Fly IQ4415 Quad ERA Style 3 compares favorably with its counterparts.

A clean system is used without proprietary shells, no lags are observed. Changes have been made to the design and icon pack. A large number of pre-installed games catches your eye.
