100 megabyte package
If you rarely go online or use the network only to check messages on social networks or instant messengers and access the Internet only from a smartphone, then you are better off choosing the option for 100 additional megabytes.
This service is valid for 24 hours from the moment it is turned on and is disabled without user intervention after 24 hours. It also turns off if less than a day has passed, but you have spent all the traffic provided.

500 megabyte package
This option works for 30 days and is suitable for those who access the network not only from a smartphone, but also using a modem from MTS or a tablet, and often go online: watch videos, download and listen to music, and so on.
An additional 500 megabytes can be added by sending 167 to 5340, or by dialing the USSD command *167# or *111*167*1#.
2 gigabyte package
An additional 2 gigabytes from MTS will also be suitable for those who use modems and access from a tablet. Well, in general, he actively uses the Internet and often downloads something.
The service is provided for 30 days, after which it is automatically disabled. If you want to purchase additional traffic again, you will need to manually connect it.

5 GB package
It is connected for 30 days and is suitable for users who use the MTS Internet for several hours a day. To connect, send 169 to 5340, or dial *169# or *111*169*1#. 
20 GB package
This option is perfect for users of MTS USB modems and tablets. This amount of traffic is enough for normal traffic use, even if you don’t leave the Internet at all.
To connect it, send 469 to number 5340 or dial *469#. The service is provided for 30 days, after which it will be automatically disabled.
Turbo nights
This service has no expiration date and is provided until the subscriber himself disables it. From 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. local time, restrictions on the speed and volume of MTS traffic used are lifted.
Subscribers of the MTS operator using the Smart tariff can connect to the “Additional Mobile Internet” service on their phone or smartphone if they have completely exhausted the traffic provided for by the monthly payment.
This offer is available for almost all Smart packages from MTS:
- Smart Mini (112013, 102014, 022015), Smart (022013, 102014) - 500 MB/ 75 RUR;
- Smart+ (102014), Smart Nonstop/Top - 1GB / 150 rub.

How to connect and disconnect a package?
The ability to use additional traffic is activated automatically immediately after switching or connecting to Smart series packages.
To turn off the Internet on MTS Smart Mini, send the USSD command *111*936# to the service and follow the voice menu prompts. Deactivation can also be performed in your Personal Account on the operator’s offsite.
Advice! When additional traffic is disabled, in case of exhaustion of the limit, in order to use the Network, you can activate the “Turbo buttons”.
Features of using the service
- Activation of the first package is available only after the default traffic volume has been exhausted. In turn, the second additional package becomes available only if the first one is completely exhausted.
- Unused service traffic is not carried over to the next month.
- Within 1 month, the “Additional Internet” service can be activated no more than 15 times. But after reaching this limit, the subscriber can still use the “Turbo buttons”.
- In Nonstop and Nonstop 082015 tariffs, the limit is calculated based on the depletion of the daily package by default.
- The initiator of the “Unified Internet” group can provide its participants only with the traffic of his main package, and use the additional one exclusively individually.
- In "Mini" tariffs additional. packages are enabled by default. To refuse them, you need to dial -*111*936# and go to item “2” of the voice menu.
Using the “MiniBit” and “Superbit” packages
“Minibit” is the optimal solution for those who rarely use the Internet on their device. It does not require a monthly fee and charges money from the subscriber in fact, directly on the days of going online.
The “Minibit” connection is carried out with the command - *111*62# (→ item “1”). And the shutdown is *111*62# (→ “2”).
Plus, activation and deactivation of the minimum “BIT” can be carried out on the MTS office.
BIT traffic monitoring is provided via USSD request - *217#.
All owners of “Super Bit Smart” are provided with 3GB of traffic every month + additional packages of 500 MB (up to 15 activations/1 month). The service is valid in all regions of the Russian Federation.
“Superbit” is activated automatically after consuming 5 MB of traffic in the following tariff plans: “Super MTS”, RED Energy, “Your Country”, “Per Second”. Before activation, payment is made according to the “Mini” tariff.
To disable this service, send *111*8650#. If you want to refuse only additional packages (+500 MB) within the “Super” tariff, send “1” in an SMS to 6290.
In fact, this, of course, cannot be called theft. But it is clear that MTS does some things on purpose in order to write off more money from you, while according to the law there is no way you can get under them. I will tell you how not to fall for this trick in this article.
How the “Additional Internet Smart for Your Own” service works
By default, this service is activated for all subscribers of the “Smart for Our Own” tariff. What it means is that when you run out of traffic included in the subscription fee, you will automatically be connected to 500 MB Internet packages costing 75 rubles. However, you will not be asked to confirm this operation in any way.
Even if, for example, you have one day left before the subscription fee is charged, and you are ready to spend this time without the Internet, the package will still be connected to you. In total, 15 such packages can be connected within a month (more than 7 GB, as in your case).
What is the deception?
The deception in this case is that in your personal account and in the “My MTS” application the maximum possible traffic is shown (that is, the sum of 15 packages of 500 MB each), and not what is actually connected. So you don't see that you only have 500MB left.
After the end of the 500 MB package, the next one is automatically connected to you. And so on until 15 packages are connected, or until the money in the account runs out.
How to avoid unnecessary spending
All you need to do is activate the “Smart. Ban on connecting additional Internet” and decide for yourself when and which Internet package to connect:
The fastest way to do this is by dialing *111*936*2# and pressing the call key. Make sure that you have received an SMS about activating the service.
If your traffic quota is exhausted, connect the required package yourself or by contacting MTS subscriber service at 0890.

The first provision of the package is carried out at the time of activation of the options, then the package is provided every month in full, on the day corresponding to the date of activation of the option.

Conditions for providing options
- Options can be activated by a subscriber of the “Smart mini”, “Smart”, “Smart+”, “Smart+ for a year”, “Smart Nonstop” and “Smart Top” tariffs, using both the basic volumes of the Internet option provided under the tariff, and having an additional connected unlimited Internet options.
- Options are periodic: provided every month until the subscriber disables them.
- In case of changing the tariff plan (including to other tariff plans of the Smart line), the options are disabled; they need to be reconnected.
- The fee for the first month of using options is debited at the time of their activation. Further, the fee is written off every month, starting from the second, in full, on the date corresponding to the date of activation of the option.
If the number is blocked at the time of debiting, the fee will be debited when the blocking is released.
If in the next calendar month there is no date similar to the connection date, the monthly fee is written off on the last day of the calendar month.
For the full calendar month in which the subscriber was actually blocked, no monthly fee is charged. - Access points (APN): internet.mts.ru, wap.mts.ru.
- The coverage area of the options is the subscriber’s home region.
If the subscriber has any of the options “Everywhere at home Smart” or “VSR_Smart+” activated, the options are valid in the MTS network throughout Russia.
Internet traffic accrual procedure
- When connecting options, the additional traffic package is added to the basic volume of Internet traffic provided according to the tariff, and the subscriber begins to be credited with an increased volume of Internet traffic every month (equal to the sum of the basic and additional packages).
- The first provision of an increased package is carried out at the time of activation of options; further – the increased package is provided every month, starting from the second, in full, on the date corresponding to the date of activation of the option.
At the same time, on the day corresponding to the date of connection / transition to the tariff (if it does not coincide with the date of connection of the options), the basic volume of Internet traffic provided under the tariff is not accrued. - When accessing the PDA version of the MTS website, Personal Account and other free resources, charging, quota accounting and speed limiting do not occur within these options.
