Editing text in PDF using Microsoft Word is also possible, but only in the last two releases - 2013 and 2016. However, in terms of capabilities, this option is much inferior to the previous two. It is suitable when you need to transfer some information from a PDF to a regular MS Word document, since when opened in Word, the PDF file is usually noticeably distorted. Blocks of text in it are out of place, and in general the page layout does not look the same as it was originally. Especially if the original file was created in another application.

To work with PDF in operating systems other than Windows (although in it too), the free program Libre Office is sometimes used, which is close in functionality to the Microsoft office suite and replaces it. It copes with our task better than Word, since it opens documents without significant distortion.
