Why does the fly 520 phone slow down? Android slows down: what to do? General recommendations and troubleshooting tips

Not only its performance, but even its durability depends on the correct and timely optimization of the operation of a device based on the Android OS. In addition, judicious use of RAM helps to cope with such pressing problems as, for example, freezes. Why does the device start to slow down and get hot? How to optimize your Android phone or tablet yourself, what to do to speed up work and what methods are really effective? Let's find out!

Why does my Android device slow down?

Before moving directly to solving problems, it is worth pointing out their causes. Knowing what interferes with the normal operation of your device, you can prevent negative factors from occurring in the future. Please note that not all of the following may apply specifically to your case. Therefore, the problems in the list are given in order of decreasing frequency of occurrence.

  • RAM load;
  • Physical memory load;
  • Too many graphic elements (animations, “live wallpapers”, etc.);
  • Constant search for Wi-Fi and GPS networks;
  • Use of pseudo-optimizing applications.
  • Please note that the first two problems need to be addressed first. Even if the device works more or less normally, sooner or later it will start to slow down precisely because of memory load. Let us consider in detail how to cope with these problems and others described.

    How to optimize the performance of your phone, smartphone or tablet?

    How to optimize your Android device?

    So, let's start the optimization process. To do everything correctly and not introduce unnecessary changes to the operation of the device, perform the steps in the order shown. If one method helps, you don’t have to resort to the subsequent ones. However, it makes sense to familiarize yourself with the entire list so that in the future you can quickly and without unnecessary problems optimize your device.

    Clearing physical memory

    Physical memory is all the files that are stored on the device or removable media. The first thing you need to pay attention to if your phone or tablet starts to slow down is the amount of occupied memory. And we are talking about both internal volume and SD cards.

    Clearing physical memory

    The more memory is occupied, the longer it takes to synchronize files, download data, download applications, etc. If there are too many files on the memory card, the operating system spends a lot of resources downloading information about their contents. All this is done for the convenience of the user: this way you can access the data instantly. However, it is clear that such actions consume a lot of CPU time. For example, if you listen to music, the player loads information about all songs at once. As a result, the phone slows down and freezes.

    Before you start cleaning up physical memory, you need to minimize its fill. If you have an SD card, set the file path for applications such as Browser, Camera, Voice Recorder, Skype or Viber to it (see below for an example of setting up the Internet browser). It was previously said that memory cards also consume device resources. However, the use of the phone's internal memory has a much more critical effect on its performance.

    Photo gallery: how to save files downloaded in the browser to a memory card?

    Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Step 6

    After the specified settings are completed, you need to get rid of unnecessary files. These files may be those that you have not used for a long time. For example, a boring album from a band or a book that you don’t want to read. If you're sad to part with your data, you don't have to delete it. You can simply move them to your computer or cloud storage (for example, Google Drive).

    Do not delete folders and files unless you know their purpose, as they may contain important system information.

    It makes sense to move installed applications to the memory card. Thus, their entire cache, as well as some files, will not clutter up such a small memory of the device itself. To do this, go to Settings and find Applications. Next, click on “Application Manager”. You will see a list of all programs installed on the device. Each program will need to be moved separately. Just click on its name and reconfigure the “Memory” item, as shown in the screenshots below.

    Photo gallery: move installed applications to a memory card

    Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5

    Clearing RAM

    RAM is a resource that is used by active applications. The more applications you have installed, the more RAM will be used. Even if you haven’t launched some programs for a long time, they continue to run in the background in a “frozen” form (this is a feature of the Android OS). It is logical that to free up RAM you need to remove unnecessary applications.

    Clearing RAM

    First of all, remove the games. If you don't want to give them up completely, download something small (like the notorious "2048"). The more powerful the graphics component of a game, the more memory (and other resources) it requires. Even when turned off, apps will still download some data as soon as you turn on your internet connection.

    It is also worth getting rid of applications left “just in case”. For example, if you haven’t watched movies on your phone or tablet for a long time, remove the video player. In the end, you can always download it again, if necessary.

    If you have deleted all the applications that you considered unnecessary, but the device still slows down, turn to the built-in cleaning system. This is some kind of program that manufacturers usually load by default (the name may vary, for example, “Memory Cleaner” or “Clean Up”). If you don't have one, you can clear the RAM manually.

    Go to “Settings” -> “Applications” -> “Running”. You will see a list of running programs. Go to any of them and click “Stop”.

    Stop some programs

    Among other things, you can use special programs to clear RAM, but we will talk about them later.

    A large number of widgets on the screen, animated “live” wallpapers and other graphic excesses negatively affect the operation of the operating system. Of course, it's beautiful and convenient. But each such element requires RAM, CPU time, and graphics processor resources (which is commonly called a video card).

    Get rid of unnecessary widgets

    Thus, even the most powerful phone or tablet can start to slow down just because of widgets and live wallpapers.

    Discard them, keep only the essentials.

    Remove unnecessary services and applications to speed up the processor

    Please note that in this case the graphics component will be degraded to improve performance.

    First, you need to go to the “Developer Options” settings item. Don't worry, you won't do anything irreparable. All proposed settings can be rolled back. So, to access this item, go to Settings -> About Device. There, find “Build Number” and click on it 7 times in a row. You can now go to Developer Options. If nothing happens, this option was probably already enabled on your device. Just find it in the Applications section as a separate program.

    Go to “Options...” and do the following:

  • Check the box next to "Force GPU processing". This way, the GPU will be constantly turned on, which means that the resources of the main processor will not be wasted on graphics.
  • Do the same for the “Disable hardware overlay” option.
  • For the items “Animator Duration Scale”, “Transition Animation Scale” and “Window Animation Scale”, set the values to “Animation disabled” (see screenshots below). This will be especially true for older models and weak devices.
  • Open the “Background Processes” item and set a limit on the number of programs running in the background. No more than 2–5 is recommended.
  • Photo gallery: setting up Developer Options

    Step 1 Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 Step 6 Step 7

    Do not change other settings unless you have proper knowledge. In addition to changing the parameters of these services, you can try uninstalling some system applications, for example, Google Play Games, etc. This should only be done if you know for sure that you or the operating system will not need the application.

    Don't worry: Android won't let you uninstall vital programs.

    Battery Optimization

    No matter how strange it may sound, a lot also depends on the correct operation of the battery. The point is that you need to charge your phone or tablet correctly. To do this, just follow the points below.

  • Always charge the device only after it has been completely discharged.
  • Wait until the device is charged 100%.
  • Try not to use apps while charging.
  • Charge your device from USB or the cigarette lighter as rarely as possible.
  • Additionally, lower your screen brightness whenever you can; Turn off apps instead of just locking the screen.

    Optimize your battery performance

    Disable Wi-Fi, GPS and geolocation

    GPS and Wi-Fi networks are often essential. Without them, smartphones would be deprived of many of the functional features for which users love them so much. But this does not mean that these networks should be turned on all the time.

    Disable GPS and geolocation

    GPS and geolocation are functions that provide data exchange with satellites. The device spends a lot of energy and resources on organizing and conducting such an exchange. Thus, disabling GPS helps speed up the operating system. After all, you still don’t need to be constantly connected to satellites if, for example, you are at home. You can disable GPS and geolocation by going to Settings -> Location.

    When Wi-Fi is turned on, installed applications will exchange data with Google Play servers. This is necessary for constant synchronization and stable operation of programs. But when you, for example, want to listen to music or watch a movie, you should turn off the Wi-Fi network. This will not only help conserve battery power, but will also free up RAM.

    Getting rid of advertising

    Advertising in applications and in the browser is not only annoying, but also “eats up” some of the RAM. Therefore, sometimes it makes sense to install applications to combat it. Why "sometimes"? Because programs for hiding ads also require memory. In addition, they are usually running constantly.

    AdBlock Plus program interface

    You can optimize the operation of anti-advertising applications by disabling them when not needed. Try installing, for example, AdBlock Plus and compare RAM consumption with and without it. Draw the necessary conclusions. Also, you should not install such programs if you rarely access your browser or play games with a disconnected Internet connection.

    Firmware update

    Firmware is, in simple terms, the version of the Android operating system installed on your device. Moreover, we are talking not only about standard versions, but also about OS with additional software. For example, today many smartphone publishers add a number of programs to the original Android, change the interface and other graphic details. As you probably already understood from what was said earlier, the fewer unnecessary applications, the better the device behaves. Therefore, sometimes it makes sense to change the firmware in order to get rid of such applications. Remember that reinstalling the OS without an official update means waiving the factory warranty. Therefore, this method is very radical. However, it can really help.

    Do not attempt the following steps unless you have sufficient knowledge. In this case, it is better to contact the service center.

    There are a number of programs for reinstalling the OS on Android. “Odin” is considered the most popular and stable. To change the firmware using it, you need to download and install the program on your PC. Please note that the original version is only available in English; all others are potentially dangerous.

    In addition, you will need the firmware file itself. There are many such files on the Internet, but be careful. Trust only trusted resources.

    Odin program interface

    Now you need to put Android into firmware mode. To do this, turn off the device and hold down the Volume Down, Home and Lock keys at the same time.

    Press the indicated keys at the same time

    The “Firmware” menu will open. Press the "Volume Up" key to agree to enter installation mode.

    Press the Volume Up key

    Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable. All that remains is to open the firmware file in the Odin program and press the Start button. The firmware will be updated.

    Applications for optimizing operation and increasing the performance of the Android OS

  • All the methods discussed above require time and skill. If you don’t want to manually clear your RAM and/or physical memory every time, you should install one of the programs created specifically for this. The most common are:
  • CCleaner;
  • Power Clean;
  • Avira Android Optimizer;
  • SD Maid.

    This list is far from complete. In fact, there are a lot of applications with similar functionality. Moreover, their interface is often very similar and is characterized by maximum simplicity. Let's take "Clean Master" as an example.

    Clean Master program

    Once you enter the program (which can be downloaded from the Google Play Market), you will see all the functions you are interested in on one screen. In one click, you can clean your device of residual application files, free up RAM, and configure programs.

    In addition, Clean Master will automatically suggest cleaning every 3-5 days.

    Be careful when deleting certain files and programs, even if you are confident in your abilities. After all, now the responsibility for the correct operation of the device lies entirely on your shoulders.

    Hard Reset

    Hard Reset - a complete reset of the Android system. If none of the suggestions above helped cope with the slowdowns and freezes, this is the only thing that can be done. In this case, all personal data, as well as installed programs, will be deleted. So you should do a Hard Reset last.

    To reset the system, go to “Settings” -> “Backup and reset” (this item may have a different name). In the menu that appears, click "Data reset" and confirm it.

    Hard Reset - Step 4 Hard Reset - Step 5

    False optimization methods

    As you have already seen, there are quite a lot of ways to optimize the operation of Android devices. However, some software developers deceive their customers by offering non-existent methods to combat freezes. Protecting yourself from quackery is quite simple: download programs only from Google Play Market and only from trusted publishers.

  • Also, remember the following:
  • Defragmentation for Android devices is a scam. Do not download applications that offer to defragment the memory or registry of the Android OS. At best, they do nothing useful.
  • Do not install applications that offer automatic process management (so-called task manager). As mentioned earlier, in Android all applications run permanently in a “frozen” form. Therefore, such programs (if they actually do what they suggest) will only slow down your device. After all, the operating system will automatically restart each application. Be careful what you download.

    Don't forget to use an antivirus.

    What should I do if my device gets hot and starts to freeze?

    What should I do if the device gets hot?

    If your phone or tablet gets very hot, then the system needs optimization. In fact, overheating is a sign that something needs to be fixed. Moreover, this “something” can relate to either software or hardware.

    The combination of these two factors means that the problem is in the software. All the above optimization methods are applicable in this case. After all, heating occurs due to excessive use of the processor and RAM. After optimization the problem should disappear. If this does not happen, proceed to the next point.

    Hardware problems

    If the phone or tablet itself is faulty, it will continue to overheat even after a full reset. This means the problem may be with the battery. Soon a message will even begin to appear: “The battery has overheated, remove the battery.” In any case, the first thing to do is replace the battery, because it is most likely swollen. You can purchase it yourself, but it is better to contact a service center.

    Note that modern smartphones and tablets overheat extremely rarely. The fact is that the latest technologies for integrating processors and cooling equipment allow developers to make their devices virtually immune to temperature changes.

    What should I do if my device overheats while playing games?

    How to prevent your device from overheating while gaming?

    If your phone or tablet usually works fine, and only starts to heat up when playing games, then you have very little free RAM. To prevent overheating, do the following before starting the game:

  • Close all open programs.
  • Clean up physical memory using optimization programs. Excess cache can interfere with the normal operation of applications.
  • Free up RAM using any of the methods presented.
  • Turn off GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  • In general, for your phone to function properly while gaming, no other applications should be running.

    The Android operating system is designed so that the user can independently manage almost all processes. Therefore, you need to manually optimize your phone or tablet at least once every two to three months. Even if the device works virtually without failure, cleaning will improve performance and extend the life of the device for many years.

    A phone that has just been taken out of the box will work quickly and cope with complex tasks, but over time there will be no trace of its former speed.

    The interface becomes glitchy and programs take a very long time to launch. It often happens that even the simplest applications begin to slow down. So let's figure out how to deal with this problem!

    Applications and games

    Please note that each mobile phone is sold with the most current operating system at that time, which most closely matches the current characteristics of the smartphone.

    Yes, some manufacturers do make regular updates for their gadgets, but not all of them, and support usually lasts no more than two years for budget models.

    Even if you received updates, it is not a fact that the phone will work as fast as when you bought it.

    This issue affects games and applications. Developers release updates optimized for new devices. At the same time, on older models the game may also become unstable.

    There are two options to solve this problem:

    • you just need to make a choice between application speed and functionality. If your smartphone is not a flagship or very powerful, we strongly advise you not to update many applications. The functionality will not be the same as after the update, but the speed will remain the same;
    • It would also be a good option to install upgraded, lightweight firmware. Although this is a little, it will increase the speed of operation of both the system in general and individual software.

    Video: Troubleshooting all problems

    Background applications

    The presence of many applications running in the background is the most common reason why Android starts to slow down. If you hide many applications in the background, then you can’t count on stable operation of your Android device, since the system will spend a lot of resources on maintaining the functionality of these applications.

    The solution to the problem is very simple. You just need to delete applications running in the background, or at least disable them in the phone settings.

    Another interesting thing is that starting with Android 4.1, the system is able to independently distribute resources to applications, as well as close programs running in the background.

    By the way, you can set a limit on background processes yourself, but only if your phone’s Android version is 4.1 and higher. How to do it? It's simple.

    Follow these steps:

    I would also like to note the fact that there are no viruses for the Android operating system, therefore there is no need for an antivirus. It will simply eat up RAM in the background, without bringing any benefit.

    Widgets

    Smartphone manufacturers do not recommend crowding your smartphone desktop with various kinds of widgets, since each of them requires resources to operate. If you use everything on your phone, its performance will slow down significantly, especially if you play demanding games.

    When deleting most of the widgets, desktops are freed up; if possible, it is better to delete them.

    Cluttered system

    By the way, perhaps Android is slowing down due to the fact that the file system is heavily clogged with unnecessary files. This is inevitable, and the longer the system is not cleaned, the more dirty the system becomes, the more glitchy the phone becomes.

    What files are clogging the system? There are many of them, namely:

    Most of all, cache files clutter up memory. They are stored both on the memory card and in the internal memory of the phone. They are needed in order to save traffic and load pages that require Internet access faster.

    The files seem to be useful, but they still need to be cleaned. How to do it? There are several options. The best way is to download a special application from Google Play.

    Here are the best:

    Lack of free space

    If the phone slows down very much, then the reason may be a lack of free space. The phone's built-in storage is designed in such a way that if it is filled to capacity, the phone can start to become very glitchy.

    If the internal memory of the device is full, then you need to clear it, at least 30% should be free.

    • transfer all data to a memory card;
    • transfer applications to a memory card;
    • Use the above apps to clean up trash.

    Lack of support for TRIM technology

    TRIM technology first appeared in Andrid4.3. It allows the smartphone to operate smoothly and stably even several years after purchase. It’s a shame, of course, that it wasn’t introduced earlier.

    The main reason for the slowdown over time is that almost all phones have SSD drives installed, so each cell has a very limited recording resource.

    Even if you delete files, the memory controller will think until the last minute that they are there. The more times the files are rewritten, the more cells are occupied, the more the controller has to work, the slower it starts to work.

    TRIM technology helps by resetting the controller data every 24 hours and forgetting what has already been deleted. The memory controller will be informed that certain data is no longer needed because it has been deleted.

    It is also worth noting the fact that the TRIM function will only work on good, high-quality controllers; accordingly, the most budget models and cheap copies will not support it. This should definitely be taken into account.

    If your operating system version is lower than 4.3, we recommend trying the LagFix application. There are many positive reviews about it on the Internet.

    Android slows down after update

    If you decide to update your smartphone, and after the update it starts to slow down, we recommend resetting your phone to factory settings. Most likely this action will help solve the problem. If not, then you will have to reflash your smartphone.

    The matter is complicated, it is better to trust the professionals, since one wrong move, and your favorite smartphone will turn into a useless brick, unless you can sell it for parts.

    As for resetting the settings, everything is simple, you need to do the following:

    If you have important data on your phone, don’t forget to either reset it to another drive or make a backup copy for recovery in advance.

    A modern smartphone, which makes human life easier in many ways, often causes stress. This happens if the phone is buggy. The era of immortal gadgets has passed - now devices have become more complex in their design and software content, due to which they break more often.

    To avoid unpleasant emotions, you should treat it with care and monitor its condition. But if enjoying the functionality is already hampered by the fact that your smartphone is buggy, it will tell you what to do. In most cases, even if the phone is frozen and does not respond, you can fix everything yourself. It is enough to determine the cause of the breakdown and find a way to eliminate it.

    Where to begin?

    First, it’s worth determining exactly why the phone is buggy. Basically, faults are classified into two types:

    • Mechanical damage
    • Violation in the functioning of the software

    Many believe that if the screen of their smartphone is intact, and the cover is not held on by tape, then the gadget is in perfect order, and the problem of malfunction is caused by a software failure, not understanding what to do if the device freezes and does not respond to actions.

    However, this is not always the case - even one loose contact inside the device can affect the operation of the device, and the aluminum case and protective glass can hide the malfunction, due to which it freezes and does not respond to anything, from the user’s eyes.

    Software failure

    Freezes when turned on

    One of the most common reasons why a phone glitches and users wonder what to do is when it freezes when turning on. You can solve this problem as follows:

    What should I do if my phone freezes for a long time and does not respond when turned on? First of all, you need to hold down the volume key along with the power key. Using the volume keys, in the menu that opens, select the Settings item. The select (click) button is the power button. There you should select formatting the system (this will erase all files except system files).

    Once formatting is complete, click on Reset android, which will reboot the device, after which the device should return to normal operation. One of the reasons why a fairly reliable Android phone is buggy was considered without the participation of a service center! Now the device should not freeze when turned on. The solution can also be used when you don't know what to do if your phone is frozen and not responding to anything.

    Stuck on shutdown

    It happens that the phone does not turn off, freezes, refusing to respond to any buttons or presses on the screen. This happens extremely rarely, but you need to know what to do in this situation. To restore functionality, just remove the battery and after 10-15 seconds insert it back. In 90% of cases, this method helps to cure an unpleasant operating system glitch.

    If, after the completed procedures, the phone freezes, then you should contact the specialists; most likely the problem is not in the Android platform, but in the hardware of the gadget. It is difficult to predict anything here; each case is individual.

    Other types and causes of freezing

    As a rule, the reasons why the device does not work correctly, freezes and does not respond (for example, applications installed in the gadget do not respond) are factors such as a lack of hardware resources or memory. Let's figure it out sequentially.

    Resource-intensive applications - running in the background, they often ruin the lives of users by absorbing the device’s resource and slowing down its operation. They may be the following programs:

    • Widgets on the desktop
    • Background sync
    • Push notifications

    It is quite difficult to figure out which program consumes the most resources. What to do if your phone is frozen and not responding?

    Solution

    What to do if your Samsung phone freezes and won’t turn off? If a Samsung phone malfunctions in this way, solving the problem is quite simple - just hold down the power key for 20 seconds, after which the device will vibrate and reboot.

    For devices from other companies, you can use the same method, but it does not always work. What to do if the solution did not help and the gadget is still buggy? In this case, you need to hold down not only the power key, but also one of the volume keys - the same thing will happen.

    Wakelock Detector

    One solution is to install the Wakelock Detector app. The program will help identify the most power-hungry applications. After the application is installed, the device should be charged to 90% and disconnected from charging, leaving the application on for 1-2 hours (during this time statistics will be collected).

    After this time, launch the application - you will see the analyzed statistics in it. The topmost programs consume the most resources. Disabling them optimizes the operation of the device. This is the bottom of the main thing that needs to be done so that the phone does not freeze.

    What to do if your Samsung phone still freezes? Perhaps the fact is that there is little free space left on the memory card or memory of the device itself.

    When the memory is 80% full, some devices begin to perform much worse. From time to time it is worth doing a thorough cleaning of your device. First, you should get rid of obviously unused programs and irrelevant files. You can do this manually or use a special application - clean master. After installing it, you can get rid of garbage in a few clicks. It's also worth clearing your cache.

    Minor problems

    The device can frustrate the user with smaller, but still unpleasant glitches. Let's look at their solutions:

    • The lost network signal is restored by switching the device to airplane mode and then turning off this mode.
    • If it is difficult to detect the SIM card, you should remove it and return it to the slot.

    Conclusion

    As you can see, there is nothing difficult in getting rid of errors and glitches in the Android system. Any user can solve problems in no time; just read this article. Be careful and careful, and everything will work out, see you on the pages of the site!

    Video

    Such problems are typical for any modern gadget, be it a tablet or a smartphone, regardless of manufacturer and price segment. What to do if your phone starts to freeze, what are the causes and how to avoid such troubles will be discussed in this blog.

    The phone started to glitch (freeze)

    The more complex the equipment, the more factors influence its proper functioning. Just 6-8 years ago, if a mobile phone froze for some reason, you could simply turn it on/off or, as a last resort, take out and put back the battery. With modern gadgets, everything is a little more complicated and such procedures do not always bring the desired result.

    As with any other digital technology, the reasons for the phone freezing can be either hardware or software in nature, caused by software malfunctions. Falls, shocks, and other mechanical impacts can damage internal components, although there may be no external damage to the case. So don’t rely too much on solid aluminum cases and tempered impact-resistant glass. In the event of a serious fall, they are more likely to mask the problem than prevent it.

    Of course, most often such problems arise due to software failures, which are much easier to fix than, for example, mechanical damage. In this case, the issue can be resolved by removing resource-intensive applications that cause excessive consumption of RAM and place an increased load on the processor. Sometimes it is enough to simply unload applications from memory using the task manager.

    Phone freezes when turned on

    If your phone freezes when you turn it on, the cause of such a nuisance may be a software failure of the operating system or a firmware failure caused by an incorrect shutdown due to the complete discharge of the device. Freezing may also occur due to the memory card. In this case, you need to remove the card from the slot and try to turn on the device without it. Long loading times may be the result of an incorrectly installed update.

    Possible causes of malfunction

    As mentioned above, such malfunctions can be both hardware and software in nature, but most often mobile phone owners encounter the following problems:

    • mechanical damage to the internal components of electronic boards caused by shocks and falls of the device;
    • incorrectly installed operating system updates, the use of third-party, malicious software and firmware failures;
    • launching resource-intensive applications that create a load on the processor and RAM;
    • short circuit due to moisture getting under the housing;
    • attempts to gain root access to the device.

    Like any other equipment, a mobile phone requires careful treatment and compliance with operating rules. Experts recommend periodically clearing your memory of accumulated files and unused applications. For this purpose, special programs are provided that delete temporary files and also optimize system operation.

    Installation of updates should be carried out exclusively from the manufacturer’s official website. The use of third-party resources is highly discouraged, since in this case there is a high probability of incompatibility between the software and your model. In addition, do not forget about the risk of infection by virus applications.

    Modern smartphone models are equipped with fairly powerful, efficient processors and large amounts of RAM. However, mobile applications also do not stand still and, as they develop, they become more and more resource-demanding. Simultaneous use of several “heavy” applications can significantly reduce the performance and speed of the gadget.

    It often happens that the phone starts to freeze after getting wet, especially in rainy or snowy weather. Water causes the contacts to close and the system eventually freezes. In this case, you should immediately turn off the power to the device and contact a trusted service center for help.

    How to restore your phone if it's frozen

    You can restore your phone using the task manager by removing the frozen application. If the entire system freezes, a reboot is required. Most models reboot by holding down the power key. If rebooting doesn't help, the only way to get your phone working again if it's frozen is to remove the battery. It is more difficult for owners of devices made in a monolithic, non-separable case with a non-removable battery. Many people leave the gadget frozen until it is completely discharged, but there is another method (for devices running Android OS). Pressing the power button and volume rocker at the same time will access the boot menu.

    Another effective method is a full reset, which allows you to restore the device to its original factory settings. Each specific model has its own method of resetting the settings, which can be found in the included instructions or on the manufacturer’s website.

    What to do if your phone is frozen

    It is highly not recommended to try to fix the problem yourself without having the proper experience and skills in repairing mobile devices. Unskilled intervention in the electronic or software filling can significantly aggravate the existing malfunction, which will subsequently lead to more expensive repairs, and in the worst case, the functionality of the device cannot be restored.

    The best way out of this situation is to entrust the work to qualified specialists of the 24MASTER service center (Odessa). Experienced technicians will carry out comprehensive diagnostics, identify and eliminate the causes of the problem. Modern equipment and tools allow us to deal with any kind of malfunction in the shortest possible time. If you want your gadget to serve properly for many more years, trust real professionals.

    There is an opinion that a smartphone or tablet running Android is a priori slow. This statement is partly true and the reason for this is the great fragmentation of devices. But let's figure out whether it is possible to achieve smoothness and speed of the interface comparable to Apple devices.

    Of course, your old Alcatel or Fly is unlikely to even come close to an iPhone in speed, but we will still try to ensure more comfortable work on Android.

    I will not consider options for using all kinds of boosters, accelerators, and other things, since I believe that there is little benefit from them, if any. In my opinion, Android is slowing down precisely because of the large number of such “useful” applications installed.

    For myself, I have identified the 3 most effective ways to ensure smooth operation of the interface of your smartphone; if you know of others, share them in the comments.

    Android slows down. 3 ways to speed up your smartphone

    Attention! All methods described below require root access to your smartphone.

    Method number 1. We control startup and remove system applications.

    Fewer applications running in the background will have a positive effect on the amount of free RAM, and, consequently, on system performance.

    There are many applications to control autorun, one of the most popular Autostarts.

    Allows you to manage the autorun of any applications, including system ones. It’s not difficult to figure it out, and the application supports the Russian language.

    To remove system applications I use the program Titanium Backup.

    Please note that not all applications can be deleted. Without some of them, the system will not work, so be careful about this setting.

    A detailed list of applications that can be deleted can be found on 4pda.

    Method number 2. Editing the build.prop file

    This option turned out to be the most effective for me. Build.prop is a system file in which Android stores information about the device, technical characteristics, settings and other data. By changing the parameters specified in the build.prop file, you can make changes to the system that are not available in other ways.

    On my smartphone, I was wildly annoyed that often, after minimizing or closing the application, the desktop would start again, and not from RAM. And this is with 2 gigabytes of RAM in my LG G3.

    So, in order to prevent the system from unloading the launcher from RAM, there is a special parameter:

    Add this line to the end of the file and reboot. It works great - when you press the Home button, the desktop appears instantly. For me, this is a MUST HAVE function if you encounter a similar problem.

    To edit the build.prop file, you can use the application Build Prop Editor

    Method number 3. Install the L Speed Hyper Optimizer script

    Perhaps the most difficult option. I haven’t used it myself, but user reviews on the 4pda forum say that it’s quite an effective method if Android is slow.

    I will not describe the entire installation process, you can read in detail.

    The method is suitable for the most advanced users. It should be remembered that you yourself are responsible for all actions with your smartphone.

    I did not go into great detail on each point; these are topics for separate articles. But you can identify for yourself those actions that will help you if Android on your smartphone is slow.
