Extension for muff translator. Installing an automatic web translator in Mazila

With the advent of various Internet services, there is no longer a need to go into the ABC book to translate each line. There are many browsers and undoubtedly the leaders are Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and the hopeless IE. Well, I won’t talk about the last one. Chrome has a built-in page translator. There is currently no built-in translator for Firefox users, but there are many plugins for easy translation from different languages of the world. Let's look at a couple of them:

Installing the app for Firefox is easy. On the official website of add-ons for Firefox, find the add-on that is suitable for you, click the Add to Firefox button. After this, the application will download, after which you can activate it (you may be asked to restart the browser).

To deactivate/activate applications, click on the orange Firefox button, select the Add-ons - Extensions tab, there you can both delete and activate them.

Translation plugins for Firefox

- a dictionary, also with great capabilities such as: translation of web pages, text translation, automatic translation, support for language speeches, grammar checking, search with translation - search for foreign pages using terms written in Russian. Plus the addition of links to sites for learning languages.

Agree, the built-in translator in the browser is much more convenient, of course, I’m not comparing it to a primer, than online translation services, for example Google translate. Simply because it’s faster and everything is at hand.

Yes, of course, you can find your own, more convenient plugin; to do this, go to the official page with plugins for Firefox.

Mozilla Firefox is a popular web browser that is interesting to users because it has a huge number of tools in its arsenal for detailed customization of the web browser to suit any requirements, and is also equipped with a built-in add-on store where you can find extensions for every taste. Thus, one of the most famous extensions for the Mozilla Firefox browser is Yandex.Translation.

Yandex.Translation is an add-on created for the Mozilla Firefox browser and other popular web browsers, which makes it easy to visit any foreign resources, because the service allows you to translate both individual text and entire web pages.

You can download the Yanlex.Translation add-on either immediately by clicking on the link at the end of the article, or go to this add-on yourself by finding it in the Firefox add-on store. To do this, click on the Internet browser menu button in the upper right part and in the window that appears, go to the section "Extras" .

On the left side of the window, go to the tab "Extensions" . In the upper right area you will find a search line in which you need to enter the name of the extension we are looking for - Yandex.Translation. When you have finished entering, click the Enter key to start searching.

The extension we are looking for will be displayed first in the list. To add it to Firefox, click on the button to the right "Install" .

How to use the Yandex.Translation extension?

To check the functionality of this extension, let’s go to the page of any foreign web resource. For example, we need to translate not a whole page, but only a separate excerpt from the text. To do this, select the text passage we need and right-click on it. A context menu will appear on the screen, in the lower area of which you will need to hover your mouse over the Yandex.Translation icon, after which an auxiliary window will appear containing the translation text.

In the event that you need to translate an entire web page, you will need to immediately click on the icon with the letter “A” in the upper right corner.

A page of the Yandex.Translation service will be displayed in a new tab, which will immediately begin translating the page you have selected, after which the same web page will be displayed on the site, with the formatting and images fully preserved, but the text will contain in Russian.

Yandex.Translation is an add-on that will be useful for every user. If you encounter a foreign resource, there is no need to close it - with the installed add-on for Firefox, you can instantly translate pages into Russian.

New add-ons for Mozilla Firefox. Now in my favorite MAZIL, you can install an add-on with automatic translation of both entire pages and a separately selected fragment. Previously, to read foreign sites, we had to switch to the Google Chrome browser, since it had a built-in translator that automatically translated all pages. NOW YOU CAN DO THIS IN MAZIL.
To translate a web page from one language to another, you can use add-ons Quick Translator or

A little about these additions.

Google Translator for Firefox With this extension you can translate any text into your native language with just one click or a keyboard shortcut. You can translate either selected text or the entire page.

Quick Translator The easiest and most convenient translator. Translate between over 50 different languages with one click or hotkey. Translate from one word to an entire page.

How to install them!

Can be installed via TOOLS - ADD-ONS.

A tab with additions has opened. Click ADD TO Firefox.

The add-on is easy to install. Confirm the installation in the pop-up sign. After restarting Mazila, you will have an additional panel. And now, when you go to any foreign website, the browser itself will detect the language and translate the entire page for you. It will also save the settings for future access to these sites.

Additions can also be downloaded by clicking on the link that I gave you at the beginning of the post. Click on your choice and download. It is your right to choose which translator to choose. I have Google Translator for Firefox. Somehow I got more used to it.
There are many interesting and necessary additions to MAZILA, choose and install the ones you need. I will tell you about the many new additions that I liked about working with the Mozilla Firefox browser in other lessons.

Instructions

Use any online translator. You will find several such useful addresses below. To use an online service to translate an entire web page, paste its URL into the source text field or into the special URL field. Select the translation direction, click on the “Translate” button and wait a few seconds for the finished result.

Check to see if your Mozilla Firefox build already includes “Yandex.Bar” - this add-on is being widely distributed on the RuNet. If installed, activate the “Yandex.Bar” panel and find on it, among other things, a tool for translating web pages (to understand the purpose of the buttons, hover your mouse cursor over them and hold until a hint appears). Next to this button on the right there is a small triangle. Click on it - a menu will appear to select the transfer direction. When you find yourself on a web page whose text you need to translate, just click on this button on the panel, and in the browser window you will see the result produced by the Yandex online translator.

Pay attention to other translators for Mozilla Firefox. But keep in mind that existing extensions differ little from each other. These differences manifest themselves in the degree of automation of the process (in other words, how many and what buttons need to be pressed to get a finished translation) and/or in the variety of language support - not all add-ons provide the ability to select translation directions, use special dictionaries, etc. and different online translation services are used.

For example, check out the S3.Google Translator add-on. This addon allows you to set up fully automatic translation of individual sites of your choice. Activate this function, and when you go to any page of your favorite web resource, you will immediately receive a Russian-language version of its text content. When automation is disabled, to translate a page you will need to press the button on the “S3.Google Translator” panel or the Alt+S key combination, or the corresponding context menu item. But keep in mind that the addon as of May 2012 (version 1.12) is only in Russian and only used Google online translator. If you need more language support, try installing FoxLingo. It is without automation - translation of web pages is carried out through the menu on the FoxLingo panel or through the context menu, but in this menu you can select almost any existing online translator and all kinds of (even exotic) language directions.

Mozilla Firefox is one of the most popular Internet browsers, but it still does not have a built-in page translator, like Google Chrome or Yandex Browser. To correct this drawback, it is recommended to install special extensions in the browser to translate pages.

About installing plugins

All translator add-ons discussed in this article are recommended to be downloaded and installed only from a special Firefox directory.

S3. Google Translate

This is one of the best translators for Mozilla, developed based on the Google Translate service. With its help, you can translate both a selected fragment of text and the entire page. The controls are also very convenient, since you only need to make a couple of clicks to call an interpreter.

S3 Google Translate supports several hundred languages, so you are unlikely to have problems translating a particular page. This extension also boasts correct translation from the most basic languages of the world.

Translate This!

This add-on will redirect you to the Google Translate page, where there will be an already translated version of the page you are currently on. The extension is very lightweight and practically does not load the browser, but it can only translate a full page.

Google Translator for Firefox

This extension also uses Google Translate as its basis. In essence, it is an analogue of Translate This, albeit with a slightly modified interface and the ability to translate not only the entire page, but also its individual fragments.

ImTranslator

A translator with wide functionality and additional capabilities for working with foreign text in Mozilla. It can translate both the entire page and its individual element. You can make many settings, which will allow you to customize the service to work for you. Supports 90 languages.

Online Translator

This add-on is built into the browser as a separate toolbar, where you can translate either a single word/phrase or the entire page. This is very convenient for those who constantly have to work with foreign resources. The add-on runs on the core of Google Translate, therefore, more or less correct translation from the main languages of the world is guaranteed.

This article covered all the main translator add-ons for the browser, however, you can, which was not discussed in the article. All the considered add-ons operate based on Google Translate, however, there is still no official extension for Firefox from Google.
