To participate in the PTR testing of the game, you must have a Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne key attached to your account.

This is the "Counter-Strike 1.6 v 29" patch. It makes a lot of changes and fixes a lot of bugs: mainly the Half-Life 1 engine. It is installed on an already installed game. If you do not yet have "Counter-Strike 1.6", then you need to download "install Counter-Strike 1.6 No-Steam", and then, before installing this patch, you should update your version of CS 1.6 to at least 23b full version. Otherwise, this patch will not be able to properly update your game to version 29 of Counter-Strike 1.6.

This patch is a regular archive file that you will need a program to run WinRAR. File update procedure: manual - you will need to replace the files in the folder of your Counter-Strike 1.6 game, being guided and observing the correspondence of the paths and the correct location of the files: that is, with similar files from the patch archive, replacing the same files in the folder with your game.
But anyway we recommend you install others patches(or older: from 23b - 28 patches or newer - from 34 updates before 43 patches).

If installation is incorrect, you will need to reinstall install the full game CS 1.6 version 6, and update it to version 23b or version 28. Instructions for installing patch 29 for the game CS 1.6

1) Download the RAR patch file "" from the link above.
2) If you do not have the Win-RAR program installed, you will also need it download from section " Downloads" and then install.
3) After this, run the patch archive file in the "WinRar" program - to do this, just double-click on the file HL1Patch060313_061025-cs29.rar".
4) After this, you will need to open the root folder of the full game "CS 1.6" that you want to update with this 29 CS 1.6 patch. For example this: "C:\Games\CS1.6FULL".
5) After this, you can use one of 2 ways to update files:
