Yandex webmaster tic. History of tits changes

Greetings, dear readers of the blog site. In my articles, I quite often mentioned indicators such as Titz and PR (). In general terms, it is probably clear to everyone that the higher these indicators (quite often called belly indicators) for your resource, the better.

This is undoubtedly true, but you still need to know and understand how to check TIC and PR for your own or someone else’s site, how to raise (increase) them, what a citation index update is and how often they occur.

In addition to these indicators, there is also Vits (weighted citation index), which cannot be found in Yandex, and there is also Alexa Rank (), which indirectly reflects the level of attendance of your resource (traffic).

Unlike citation index and PR indicators, for Alexa Rank it is important to know not how to raise it, but, on the contrary, how to lower it. The fact is that it reflects the position of a website in the ranking depending on its traffic.

Consequently, the most visited resource will be in first place, and its Alexa score will be equal to 1. You need to strive for this, well, at the beginning of its journey, your project may well have a Rank equal to twenty million (or so). It can be checked both on the service itself and using the methods described below.

For RuNet, Alexa is not such a serious indicator of website promotion as Titz or PageRank, but nevertheless, in this article we will look in detail at issues related to all three website promotion indicators () and find out how and where you can view them, as well as Let's talk about how you can raise them and track their updates.

What are Vits and Titz (Yandex citation indexes)

The very name of the thematic citation index (TIC) is close to the concept of citation index (CI) used in the scientific world, which actually determines how often other authors of scientific articles refer to your materials.

This is still far from Pr and Titz, but this is exactly how it all began. But in this case, it turned out to be enough to create a resource of several thousand pages and link from all of them to the promoted document, and now you already have an IC higher than that of recognized meters.

To avoid such an incident, the principle of a weighted citation index was developed, which was also called PageRank or, in relation to Yandex, Vits (weighted citation index).

The VIC takes into account not only the number of links included on a given page, but also takes into account the weight that is transmitted through each of these links. Vits or Pr (its analogue in the Google search engine) allow you to take into account the fact that the link comes from a very trusted and authoritative Internet resource, or it is placed from a newly created page that does not have any static weight.

Thanks to their introduction, Yandex and Google () now have the opportunity to take into account the quality of links leading to a page and, based on this, calculate the static weight of each page (document) on the Internet.

Unfortunately, in Yandex there is no way to check or find out the value of Vits, but Google allows you to check only the toolbar value of Pr, which is very approximate, and besides, its update occurs only once every few months. In addition, the toolbar value, unlike the real PR, changes according to a logarithmic law, which somewhat complicates the analysis of the results of its verification:

However, the impossibility of checking the real values of Vits and Pr does not change the principle of their accounting. All pages on the Internet that have been indexed by ) and Google () have a certain VIC and PageRank value (static weight).

If this document links to other documents on the Internet, then these links transfer part of the statistical weight. This weight is evenly distributed among all links originating from the document. Thus, the higher the status of a document and the fewer external links it has, the greater the weight (real values of Pr and Vic) will be transferred to the page of your site (via the hyperlink leading from that document).

Why increase and increase the citation index

But besides Vits, there is also Tits (thematic citation index), which can be found and checked for any site in a million different ways. This indicator is fundamentally different from the weighted index in that it is calculated for the entire resource and takes into account not only the quality of incoming links, but also the coincidence of the topics of your resource (acceptor) and the resource from which the link was placed to you (donor).

In order to raise Titz, it will not be enough to get a bold link from a trust resource; you will also need to have the same topics. Otherwise, you will not be able to raise the thematic index using such a hyperlink, because the contribution of this non-thematic link will be greatly underestimated.

Yandex took this principle of formation as a basis and the result was a belly measurement, which is calculated for the entire resource(by analogy with the scientific world, this is your personal rating as an author, and not the rating of some of your individual scientific works).

The TIC value for a site can vary from zero to its maximum value, which is not limited in any way from above. This promotion indicator depends mainly on the qualitative and quantitative indicators of hyperlinks that are placed on it from other resources.

By quality here we mean the authority of the resource from which a link to your project is provided, as well as the proximity of their subject matter. The higher the citation index of the donor’s website and the closer its topic is to yours, the more value you can get in the next update.

Yandex updates the citation index value approximately once a month and the update time is called ap. Due to the fact that Titz is calculated for the entire site, it is important to have a large number of links from different resources that are thematically close to you, and not from different pages of one or several websites (by analogy with the scientific world - it is important that as many different scientists, and not one or more pundits who point to you in each of their works).

For a blog, a very good and productive way to significantly increase TIC is to exchange posts with other blogs that are similar in topic. Moreover, I prefer to exchange links in posts not to the main pages, but to some specific articles. In this case, you can always try to achieve greater thematic content, which will allow you to significantly increase this significant indicator.

Sometimes novice webmasters have a question: why, in fact, increase Tic and where can you find out or check it? After all, as Yandex itself claims, this indicator of promotion does not affect the position of your website in search results (i.e., with its increase, resource traffic will not increase). But still, if you are trying to increase this size, then these same actions of yours can lead to an increase in traffic. But, of course, there is no direct connection here.

The most important factor that can motivate you to increase your citation index is that its value affects the position of the resource in the Yandex Catalog. The higher you were able to raise this indicator, the closer to the first position your web project will be in its category of this directory. But, unfortunately, adding a website to the Yandex catalog () is not at all easy for an ordinary ordinary webmaster.

Although, as a rule, after adding a project to the YAC, the thematic index begins to increase much faster, but the truth is that you will have to pay a tidy sum for this. Therefore, first of all, the desire to increase Tiz is inherent in serious projects that have spent a lot of effort to get into the catalog and now it is important for them to attract the maximum number of visitors from it.

Well, if we don’t have such a prospect in the foreseeable future, then it turns out that we don’t necessarily need to know and check the value of this little belly, nor do we need to think about how it can be increased. But this, of course, is not true, especially if you are interested in making money on the site. One of them is paid placement of links on it.

This is usually done through exchanges (for example, SAPE or), or through advertising review and post exchanges (for example, GoGetLinks, RotaPost, GetGoodLinks). Moreover, the second method is much safer, because... For posting links with SAPE on your web project, you can easily get banned by Google or Yandex, and posting posts and reviews is almost harmless for your web project.

So, the more you can increase this size of the website, the higher the price you can ask for placing links on the pages of your project. This is precisely the driving incentive for increasing TIC among webmasters whose web projects are not in YK.

How to check (find out) Tits and Pr site

The question of how to determine the TIC and PR of a site arises for almost all novice webmasters immediately after they find out what it is and what they are needed for. As a rule, at first you will be disappointed in the form of a zero value, or, as the RuNet mirror itself writes: “The resource citation index is less than 10.”

In general, the easiest and most reliable way to check Tiz is ask Yandex itself. To do this, you will need to add the following URL to your browser's address bar:

Http://search.yaca.yandex.ru/yca/cy/ch/site/

Just don’t forget to replace the domain name “site” with your own. The citation index is updated approximately once every month or two. There is no exact schedule as such. As a rule, up comes unexpectedly when you are not expecting it at all (just like winter for our public utilities).

You can study the schedule of previous APs, for example. You can find out the size of any site on a variety of online services, and you can also use special SEO plug-ins for browsers (, a, which allow you to check these size by simply opening the desired page in the browser.

Here list of online services, where you can find out and check Pr and Titz:

I surf the Internet through the Opera browser and use the simply wonderful . It allows you to see the indicators of resources opened in the browser, determine whether backlinks are open on a page, and much more in the area of assessing the success of website promotion and promotion.

In the FireFox browser I use a plugin called SEOBar (quite simple and without unnecessary bells and whistles):

You can also install the so-called Yandex.Bar () for any browser, which, among other features, can check Tits for the page currently open in the browser.

If you need indicators from several resources at once, then services for mass verification can help. And also, in my opinion, the service of Alexander Gogolev is very convenient.

You can also identify belly fat using various SEO programs, of which I would highlight Site-Auditor() separately.

Counters, informers and buttons displaying Tits and PR of your site

And, of course, in order for visitors to find out the belly fat you have accumulated, you can install a special counter or informer on your website. The most obvious way is the “Yandex button,” which looks like a banknote with a denomination equal to the citation index value of your resource. For example, for my blog such a button looks like:

You can get the code for such a button on this page, simply entering the address of your web project in the field of the same name and clicking on the “Get code” button. It will look something like this:

You can paste this button (counter) code into the desired place in your web project template. And by enclosing it in DIV tags and with the name of the parameter, you can then position it using CSS properties relative to adjacent template elements.

For example:

and in the CSS file for your design template, you can insert properties for this class:

Tic ( float:right; margin: 5px 40px 5px 0px; )

The result will be something like this counter code:

Let me explain the CSS properties for the tic class:

  1. float:right; () - causes this block with the button to press against the adjacent design element located on the right.
  2. margin: 5px 40px 5px 0px; () - sets the indentation in pixels of this block with the button relative to neighboring blocks. Indents are listed in this order: top, right, bottom, left

In addition to the standard counter in the form of a button, you can install any other Titz and PR informer on your website. For example, on this service you can get individual counters to display them.

True, you will have to register first.

You can also use the services of the Wtools service, where you can set up and receive a code for the Titz and PR counter. On the page of the informer creation wizard, you will need to specify the URL of the main page, select the color scheme for the background, its frame and font colors:

and then copy the resulting code and paste it into your resource template:

What is an update and how to check whether there was an update by Tiz

First, let's define what it is. The citation index update is a regular recalculation of this parameter for all resources indexed by Yandex. Moreover, as they say, the total index value before and after the update remains unchanged. Those. It turns out that there is simply a redistribution of Tits between all resources on the Internet during the next up.

As for the Pr update, it occurs less frequently, but this applies specifically to the toolbar value, which we can find out and check using the methods described above. But the actual PageRank value is updated almost constantly (perhaps once or several times a day). Google still has much greater computing power than the RuNet mirror.

In Yandex, there is also such a thing as search results up, which is a recalculation of site rankings for all search queries. This takes into account the changes that have been made in the documents (text update) and changes in the reference mass (reference up) that have occurred since the last change in the database. This usually happens at intervals of several days.

How to find out if there was an update from Tits, Pr or search results? In principle, the most popular optimizer forum can serve as a pretty good indicator - Searchengines. There are separate threads on this forum in which the latest update will certainly be discussed. As soon as it happens, relevant topics will immediately appear in these threads.

You can find out the history of the latest ups on this resource. There are a lot of more sophisticated resources that not only show the history of the latest updates, but also try to predict the next update, but I think that this will be more than enough.

Good luck to you! See you soon on the pages of the blog site

In my opinion, there are more important topics to discuss at this distance from the start. But many who have just started a blog are interested in seeing numbers every day showing the “ ” of their blog (for now there are 0 rubles in your wallet, so at least please yourself with abstract numbers).

You can get it from the service you use to count visitors. Be it LiveInternet, Yandex.Metrica or Google Analytics. Everything is simple here - the services themselves are happy to offer you the code for placing the button.

TIC button

We get a button. Previously, I wanted to devote a separate article to the TCI indicator. But still, it seems to me that there is nothing special to say about him. Here are just the facts worth mentioning:

  • TIC(thematic citation index) - a number divisible by 10 (0, 10, 20, ..., 50, 100, ..., 1000, 100500, etc.), which is considered the “weight” (authority) of the site in “ eyes" of the Yandex search engine. Perhaps, Yandex has the maximum TCI (210,000 at the moment). Like my blog, I wrote earlier;
  • growth of the TCI indicator is associated with an increase in the number of links to your site from other sites. The more various sites refer to yours - so much the better for the growth of the TCI. Surely Not every site has a useful link for the growth of TIC (useless does not mean that it is harmful), otherwise enterprising people have long found a way to generate a million of the same type of useless sites, not forgetting to put a link from them to the “promoted” site;
  • TIC update carried out by Yandex with a period from 2 weeks to 2-3 months. On average, once a month you can detect a change in numbers on the TCI button;
  • why do you need a technical information center?- a philosophical question. My opinion: to estimate the cost of a link on a site if you want to sell links from your site. Although officially Yandex does not approve of trading links.

Everything else that can be said about this mysterious indicator of Yandex’s authority is controversial, far-fetched, etc. Algorithms for increasing TCI are of commercial value. Moreover, the guarantees of the algorithm’s performance offered during the sale are bullshit. The only guarantee is your mind. Beware of scammers “selling TICs”.

Thank you for your attention. I'll go turn it on and cook my lunch in it. Still, he deserved it - he wrote such an article.

TCI, or thematic citation index, is an indicator of the site’s authority in the eyes of the Yandex search engine. It depends on the weight of backlinks, which, in turn, is influenced by the quality of donor sites. The more sites link to a site and the higher their rating, the greater the Yandex citation index.

The TIC was introduced by Yandex and was used only by it. The indicator was tied to the domain name (URL) and allowed the resource to occupy higher positions in the Yandex.Catalog. It also influenced the cost of placing backlinks. There was no direct relationship between the value of the indicator and the growth of positions. Sites with a zero value could also be included in the top.

ICS (site quality index)

Important! As of August 31, 2018, the subject citation index is no longer a relevant indicator. Yandex announced the termination of work with the TIC and the transition to the ICS (site quality index). PageRank (a similar metric for Google) was canceled even earlier.

Search engines have long been struggling with the sale of links and boosting these indicators. Therefore, their cancellation was only a matter of time. The TIC, like PR, was outdated and no longer provided objective information (except for large sites where the level of citations was really high). They could easily be obtained by purchasing links. The cancellation of the TIC was also facilitated by the removal of the Yandex.Catalog service, where the index was the main factor in ranking sites.

How to find out TIC

Determining a website's TIC has been a mandatory step when purchasing and placing backlinks for many years. How could you find out the site's citation index:

  • through the footer of the site. Some webmasters placed in the footer of their site a small piece of code received from Yandex, which showed the TIC value;
  • by clicking on the link http://yandex.ru/cycounter?VASH_SAYT.RU. The easiest and fastest way. Instead of “YASH_SAYT.RU” it was necessary to insert the URL of the desired site without the “https://” protocol;
  • in Yandex.Webmaster. This method is intended to determine the TIC of your sites. To do this, it was necessary to log in to Webmaster and connect your resource, after which you could see the Yandex thematic citation index and other useful information;
  • through third party services. Services such as Xtool, Seolib.ru, CY-PR, Xseo.in and others are used to promote sites in search engines and until recently made it possible to find out their TIC.

History of TIC changes

When performing search engine optimization of a website, it is necessary to place backlinks on third-party resources. But how can you tell whether a site is of high quality, whether its index is inflated, and whether your rating will be spoiled if you place your hyperlink on it? Until recently, the answer was simple - look at the history of changes in the TIC of the resource. Viewing the history made it possible to assess the stability of this indicator for a specific domain and understand whether it is worth placing your links on its pages.

For example, the TIC of the site throughout the year was 40, and over the course of the last few updates it fluctuated from 50 to 40. Most likely, in the future the index will not fall below 40, and if the owner of the resource also increases the link mass, then perhaps it will go up to 50. On a site like this, it made sense to include a backlink.

Or did you see a different picture. The TIC gradually fell from 40 to 20 throughout the year. It is likely that it could fall in the future. It is better to avoid such donors.

You could find out the site’s citation index and view the site’s TIC history using special services:

  • Recipdonor.com
  • Push2check.com
  • gogolev.net,
  • tic-history.ru.

What is the site's TCI?

TCI - thematic citation index. Simply put, TIC- This site authority index in the search engine Yandex. The more sites with similar thematic affinity link to your site, the greater the value of the TIC on your resource. The number of links to a resource also affects the TCI indicator, but the main thing is not the quantity, but the quality of the links.

When calculating the site's TCI links are not taken into account from message boards, forums, blogs, unmoderated directories and other resources in which the addition of links is not checked in any way by the owner of the resource.

1. Quality content

Interesting and unique content - best and the most reliable way to increase TCI of the site. He will always work for you. People will share useful and interesting information with each other and at the same time link to your site. Think about this from the very beginning of promotion if you want work to increase the TIC not only brought results, but also secured it with opportunity for further growth.

2. Registration in website directories

At first, I registered and added sites wherever I could! I can’t say with certainty that the weight of such links will bring the desired result, but they certainly won’t be superfluous.

Some sites say that when added to Yandex website directory, TCI 10 will be guaranteed to you. I can’t say anything about this; I haven’t been accepted there yet.

3. Announcements of recordings

I started making announcements and reposts of posts recently, and I think that their appearance is largely influenced the receipt of technical information. Immediately after publishing the lesson on my website, I add an announcement to the website grabr.ru and on social networks, such as VK, Facebook And Twitter.

Try as much as possible get links to your site. Register on forums, websites, message boards, etc. The most important thing is to links were on your site without the rel=nofollow attribute. If the link is rel=nofollow then she will not transmit your site TIC. Naturally, the closer the referring site by topic with your, all the better!

Alternatively, you can increase your link mass and from profiles on websites. For example, open the Yandex site directory and register by leaving a link in your profile on all sites (thematically similar to yours) where there is a forum or the ability to create profiles.

Finding out the site's citation index is very easy. To do this, go to the panel Yandex.Webmaster(if you are registered and your site is added) and go to the section "My sites".

Also, check the TIC You can use these sites:

On these sites you can find out not only TCI, but also a bunch of other useful things: presence of the site in directories, Google and Yandex indicators, backlinks and link mass audit and so on. The resources are cool, I recommend using them.

I wish you friends a speedy receipt of the first TCI 10! And let me remind you, if you have any questions or have anything to add about increasing the TIC, write in the comments, I’m always happy to help or learn something new.

TCI is a useful metric that has recently begun to lose relevance. The latest Yandex update showed that the TCI can be beneficially used by webmasters and optimizers."

TIC site - thematic citation index, a metric indicating the authority of the site among other resources. The algorithm for calculating the TCI takes into account the number of incoming links, the quality of links (weight), and thematic proximity.

TCI is used to correct the relevance of site placement in the Yandex catalog. It does not affect the ranking of the site in the TCI results. It turns out that this quantity is useless?

Not really. Let's figure out how to use TCI with maximum benefit for the site.

In this issue:

  • Direct benefit from TCI
  • Indirect benefit from TCI
  • What links improve the TIC?

Direct benefit from TCI

Yandex has a special product - Yandex.Catalogue - a collection of manually collected links. The catalog was created to make it easier for the user to find suitable sites. Each link is presented with a description, placed in a thematic category in descending order of the site's TCI.

It looks like this:

Snippet(description) of a site in the directory contains the name, description, screenshot of the site, actual address, links to significant subsections for direct navigation, TCI, which Yandex itself calls an indicator of popularity.

Yandex.Catalog is intended to become the first simple and accessible filing cabinet on the RuNet. The catalog contains a total of 14 topics, each of which consists of no more than 6 levels in depth.

Getting into the catalog is easy. There are two ways.

Paid. Very paid. Then the publication period is reduced to 3 days.

According to Alexey Ostroumov, head of the Yaca service, the catalog contains high-quality sites with interesting, useful, unique content - that is, these are sites that Yandex itself has considered high-quality.

And Yandex Help for Y. Catalog says that only those sites that the editors themselves would recommend to users are added to the rubricator.

Random studies by independent experts did not establish or established a weak dependence on the site’s presence in the catalog and its positions in the search results.

What is presence in the catalog, what is the growth of the technical information index indicates the quality and authority of the site.

And even though placement in the directory and the level of the TCI of the site do not affect the ranking in any way, nevertheless, every webmaster will be able to understand whether the resource is being promoted and developed correctly.

That is, the citation index is a kind of a sign of “health” (quality and authority of the site), or a symptom of violations of Yandex rules.

Presence in the catalog- a good sign of the reliability of the donor site and the safety of placing content on its pages.

“... Yandex constantly changes the algorithm for calculating the TCI, leaving in it the influence of only authoritative links. On the one hand, so that webmasters cannot thoughtlessly cheat it, on the other, so that the owners of downvoted sites quickly find sites of low authority and refuse to place links to them.

And since this parameter still reflects the link authority of a site as objectively as possible, it is logical to use it in the ranking formula in order to give a slight priority to authoritative sites in the search results. In other words, for Yandex the TCI matters. And if he doesn’t give up on this metric and constantly improves it, then he invites webmasters to use it.

Indirect benefit of TCI

On June 8, Yandex updated the TCI calculation algorithm; the results of the recalculation of indicators seriously surprised webmasters.

The trend is:

  • sites that carefully work on their link profile and the quality of content, both on resource pages and on thematic sites, have significantly increased the index.
  • sites engaged in quantitative link building at the expense of quality demonstrated a decrease in TCI.

Indirect benefits of TCI for optimizers- determination of the integrity of the webmaster and the quality of the link mass of the donor site.

The growth of the TCI is a kind of guarantee that the site is being promoted correctly, in accordance with the rules of the search engine. This is a kind of protection against search engine sanctions.

The update to the TCI calculation algorithm speaks volumes. The shift in emphasis towards the quality of links confirms that for high ranking in RuNet, bulk purchasing of auto-links does not work and, moreover, is dangerous for the site’s visibility in search results.

The site's TCI indicator must be assessed over time, and not based on a single value. Only then can you judge the quality of the site.

What links improve the TCI of a site and where to get them?

As has already become clear, for the growth of the TCI you need high-quality links.

  • meets user expectations;
  • predictable on the page;
  • proves the authority and competence of the donor and recipient;
  • supplied for the user.

Request links

If your website contains unique, copyrighted, branded content created by company resources, then you have every right to request a link from those resources that quote your content but do not link to the page.

You can find mentions and citations using different tools:

Brand queries to the search engine will collect all sites that mention your brand.

Set up Google Alerts(Notifications) - this way you will regularly receive notifications about your site being mentioned by other resources, and if there is no link, you have the right to request it. The frequency of notifications is specified in the settings. Alerts look like this:

Search for affiliate content on social networks

Search by hashtags will show publicly available topical publications in which you could place your link. Let's look at GetGoodRank as an example - after searching for #siteanalysis, we found:

These are publications on topics that are fully relevant to the activities of the site, in which links to our service can be placed. This is a great way to get quality links in relevant content created for people.

The cost will have to be negotiated in each individual case. It will not always be adequate.

The presented methods are the simplest to implement, since they often do not require content preparation. All you need is to agree on the placement of the link on the resource.

Result:

Updating the algorithm for calculating the TCI of the site proves that Yandex has become larger consider the quality, not the quantity, of links. Quality requirements have increased.

Now the TCI reflects the real quality of the site. And the dynamics of the metric shows how safe the site is for placing content and links on its pages. Miralinks provides a schedule of changes in TCI for each donor site:

We told you about little used and accessible methods of getting links. The choice is yours:

  • or independently collect information about donor sites, analyze, negotiate
  • or choose proven and guaranteed safe platforms for posting content, saving effort and time.
